Yun (Audrey) Chen

Yun (Audrey) Chen takes an empathetic and transparent approach to client interactions. She has represented clients at the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of BC and secured interim and final orders on a wide variety of family law and family law-adjacent matters, including issues respecting guardianship and parenting time, child support, spousal support, family violence, adult adoption, and property. She has also successfully negotiated out-of-court settlements, taking a collaborative path where necessary to obtain favorable results for her clients.
Audrey has had an interest in family law throughout her JD studies at the Peter A. Allard School of Law. During law school, Audrey was a summer student at Rise Women’s Legal Centre, where she managed high-conflict family law files under a supervising lawyer in addition to completing the intensive academic requirements of the clinical program. She affirmed her interest in conducting client-facing legal work while articling at an immigration law firm.
Prior to law school, Audrey graduated with Honours (High Distinction) from Victoria College at the University of Toronto, St. George campus. She completed a double major in English and History during her undergraduate studies, and brings her layered skillset in communications, writing, and research to the preparation of affidavits, briefs, Notices of Application, and other legal documents.
Growing up in BC, Audrey is committed to advocating for clients of various backgrounds in her home province. She is available to assist clients through the Lawyer Referral Service of BC as well as Legal Aid.
