Alyssa completed her undergraduate degree at Simon Fraser University with a joint major in Criminology and Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies, along with a certificate in Legal Studies. Alyssa has been working as a Legal Assistant in family law since 2019 and appreciates the complexity that family dynamics can bring to a legal dispute. She enjoys working with lawyers and clients to ease uncertainty and stress throughout the process.
Alyssa spends much of her time outside of work volunteering with Girl Guides as a Guider for Brownies and Pathfinders, as well as in an administrative role for her District in Burnaby. Alyssa enjoys collaborating with other like-minded women in Guiding to empower girls and develop their leadership and teamwork skills. Some of her favourite activities are reading, watching movies, camping with Girl Guides, and spending time with her friends.
